Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jc Cobb (ranked 25860 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amirkhan Adaev (ranked 4342 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jc Cobb! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Amirkhan Adaev! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adaev shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Adaev thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cobb's head. Adaev seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Cobb has his hands clasped together around Adaev's back. He's all about the action. Cobb trying to control from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobb manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cobb looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adaev controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Cobb trying to control the position here. Adaev controlling from the top position. Adaev with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cobb has his foot on Adaev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Adaev works his way back into a safe position though. Adaev trying to control the position from guard on top but Cobb is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Adaev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cobb. Cobb gets caught flat footed, as Adaev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Adaev wants to stand but Cobb is controlling his posture from full guard. Cobb seems keen to control Adaev's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adaev is working Cobb over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Adaev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cobb controls Adaev momentarily but Adaev frees himself. Adaev content to stall in guard here. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Adaev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Adaev wants to control from the top but Cobb keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Adaev darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Adaev working Cobb over with strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cobb on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amirkhan Adaev dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Adaev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cobb tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Adaev is in Cobb's guard. Cobb is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cobb is really struggling to control Adaev but he's trying to hold on to the position. Amirkhan Adaev has got the better of the ground game so far. Adaev landing with the ground and pound.
Cobb is rocked! Adaev content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Oh Cobb is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Adaev working some strikes from top position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Adaev's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Adaev gets to his feet and stands over Cobb, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Cobb felt that one! Adaev unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Cobb from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amirkhan Adaev!
