Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cause (ranked 7329 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Veto (ranked 5996 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Cause! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joshua Veto! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cause showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Veto.
Veto misses with an attempted mid kick.
Cause feinted with a counter takedown. Cause blocks a head kick by Veto.
Veto tries to clinch but Cause moves out of range. Veto dives in and grabs Cause's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cause pushes down on Veto's head and hops out. Cause attempts a counter takedown but Veto avoids it well and moves away. Veto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cause's waist but Cause gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Veto off to one side. Veto tries for a takedown but Cause circles away easily and Cause moves into the clinch. Nick Cause has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joshua Veto. Veto with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cause manages to break the clinch.
Veto gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cause counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cause. Veto is trying to drag Cause to the mat but Cause just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Veto tries to pull guard but Cause forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cause is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Cause has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Veto uses from the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cause holds on and takes a little breather. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Veto trying to control the position from guard on top but Cause is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cause looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Veto trying to control but Cause is working from the bottom. Veto tries to free his leg and advance position but Cause is retaining full guard. Cause has his feet on Veto's thighs here. He's pushed Veto off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Veto screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
