Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gerardo Terrell (ranked 8415 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Hyoja (ranked 8607 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Hyoja will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerardo Terrell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Hyoja! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hyoja throws a head kick that misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Hyoja. Terrell tries to escape but Hyoja is in control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Terrell struggling a bit here. The ground and pound from Hyoja seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Check out the look on Hyoja's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Hyoja stands up and beckons Terrell to his feet. Terrell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hyoja to score an easy takedown into full guard. Terrell is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Hyoja presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hyoja breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hyoja closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hyoja lands in his opponent's guard. Terrell manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Hyoja shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hyoja was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hyoja really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Terrell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Terrell wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Hyoja throwing shots but missing, from side control. Hyoja decides to stand up, so the ref orders Terrell to his feet. Terrell gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hyoja pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hyoja tries to clinch but Terrell moves away and Terrell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hyoja won't be happy with that. Hyoja is trying to buck Terrell off. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Terrell connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hyoja some visible discomfort.
Terrell controlling the position. Hyoja wants to get back to his feet. Hyoja is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Terrell taking a breather here. Terrell working the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terrell controlling from side mount. Terrell is trying to get an arm triangle but Hyoja is defending well. Terrell lands a few punches from side control. Hyoja trying to remain calm as Terrell controls from the top position. Terrell scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hyoja to see if he's OK. You can see the frustration on Hyoja's face as Terrell controls the position. Terrell grinds an elbow into Hyoja's temple. Terrell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Terrell landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hyoja is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Terrell is controlling him well. Terrell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Terrell is chipping away with strikes.
Hyoja is trying to get back to his feet. Hyoja looks winded! Terrell lands a decent elbow from side control. Terrell lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hyoja down.
Hyoja is trying to buck Terrell off. Terrell lands an elbow. Terrell works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Hyoja takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Terrell scoring with punches from side control. Terrell is putting a hurting on Hyoja here, landing some big shots from side control. Hyoja is being controlled here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gerardo Terrell dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Terrell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hyoja circles away. Terrell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hyoja is fending him off so far but Terrell persists. Nope, Hyoja circles away and we're back to standing. Hyoja connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Terrell tumbling to the canvas! Hyoja pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Terrell was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lee Hyoja! A relieved looking Lee Hyoja thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
