Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Three Dog (ranked 1677 p4p, 233 weight class) and Vladimir Venger (ranked 2816 p4p, 371 weight class). Dog comes to the cage accompanied by Fallout. Venger has chosen Live and Let Die as his entrance music. Three Dog has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Three Dog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
32 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Venger! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Venger throws an overhand right that lands on Dog's shoulder, as Dog tries to avoid the shot. Dog throws a quick counter kick to the body but Venger avoids it. Venger on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Three Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dog plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Venger throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Venger steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Dog. That one must have hurt. Dog has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dog working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Dog tries to work over Venger's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Venger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've been informed that Venger has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Dog throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Dog looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Dog lands a jab. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dog.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dog with a body punch. A glancing blow. Nice uppercut there from Dog.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dog takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dog slips a straight right by Venger. Dog was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Dog moves into the clinch successfully.
Dog keeps control of Venger as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Venger is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Venger lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Dog lands with a light punch inside. Venger is looking to break free of the clinch but Dog has double underhooks. Dog lands a body punch. Dog lands a left hand that snaps the head of Venger backwards. Venger wants to break the clinch but can't.
Venger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Venger takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Venger looks winded! An inside leg kick lands from Dog. Dog swings for the body but Venger moves out of range.
Dog connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dog throws out a powerful jab. Venger misses with a looping left. Venger misses with a hook. Dog ducked under it nicely. Dog half committed to a counter leg kick. Dog comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A head kick from Dog lands but Venger takes it in his stride. Venger takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Venger is rocked! Dog moves into the clinch. Venger is still on wobbly legs! Can Dog finish him? Dog creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Venger's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Venger drops to his knees and Dog pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Three Dog! After winning the bout, Three Dog thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Vladimir Venger was interviewed post fight and said 'Oh crapper. I'm gonna get released losing to a sack of potatoes like that. '.
