Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roku Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Destruction (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Destruction has chosen Sonic Syndicate - Denied as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Roku Takahashi had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roku Takahashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christian Destruction! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahashi shoots in looking for a takedown. Destruction tries to sprawl out of it but Takahashi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Destruction manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Takahashi tries to clinch up. Takahashi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Takahashi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A leg kick checked by Takahashi. Takahashi could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Takahashi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Destruction's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Destruction throws a leg kick but Takahashi sees it coming and moves out of range. Christian Destruction is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Takahashi fails in his attempt to clinch. Destruction rushes Takahashi and presses him up against the cage. Destruction tries to land a knee to the head but Takahashi blocks with his arms.

Takahashi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Takahashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Destruction swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takahashi wants to control from the top but Destruction keeps moving. Takahashi wants to stand and escape but instead Destruction has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Destruction controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takahashi working a defensive guard but Destruction manages to pass into side control anyway.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Destruction decides to stand up, so the ref orders Takahashi to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Destruction throws a series of punches but Takahashi avoids them all with ease. Christian Destruction seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Destruction fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Takahashi, pushing him back against the cage. Takahashi misses with a hook from the clinch. Takahashi goes for a takedown attempt but Destruction pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Destruction turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Destruction closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Takahashi avoiding damage as Destruction throws knees to the body.

Destruction darts in trying to clinch and Takahashi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Destruction thinking. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Destruction dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Destruction wants to clinch. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Destruction in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Destruction tries to clinch but Takahashi is having none of it. Takahashi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Destruction is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Destruction using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Christian Destruction showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Destruction looks to clinch and Takahashi counters with a takedown into side control. Destruction regains half guard there - taking advantage of Takahashi's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Destruction trying to control from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Destruction tries to get to full guard but Takahashi has control of the leg. Takahashi is just content to waste time from the top position. Destruction takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Christian Destruction is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Takahashi wants to stand but Destruction has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Destruction pushes Takahashi off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Christian Destruction. I've got Destruction winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
