Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ezekiel Ithamar (ranked 564 p4p, 23 weight class) and Adriano Silva (ranked 1470 p4p, 74 weight class). Ithamar's entrance music is Yamma Ensemble Psalms 104. A fine choice. Ezekiel Ithamar is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ithamar gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Silva is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ithamar is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Silva to the mat. Silva regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ithamar stops Silva from standing up.

Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ithamar wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Ithamar persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva tries to get to full guard but Ithamar has control of the leg.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Silva is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ithamar looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Silva is trying to escape the mount.

Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ithamar has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ithamar fails to move to back control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ithamar jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Silva is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Silva and Ithamar has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Ithamar tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A punch lands to the side of Ithamar 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ithamar shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ithamar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ezekiel Ithamar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ithamar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Ithamar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Ithamar tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silva defends well and Ithamar ends up having to push Silva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ezekiel Ithamar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ithamar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Ithamar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Silva's guard.

Ithamar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
Ithamar slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Silva prevents Ithamar from improving position.
Ithamar is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
