Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marky Mark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and spencer wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marky Mark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, spencer wallace! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! wallace has a takedown stuffed. wallace takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
wallace sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. wallace shoots in but Mark avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mark throws a sloppy head kick and wallace moves out of range easily. wallace avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
wallace misses with a looping right. Mark shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mark was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mark is breathing heavily. wallace is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. wallace is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
wallace wants to hold on but Mark pushes him away. wallace is trying desperately to improve position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mark punishing his opponent with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mark controlling from the full mount. wallace is desperately trying to improve his position but Mark has a good base and remains in mount. Mark looking to finish with strikes here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. wallace tries to hold on but Mark pushes him away. wallace tries to reverse the position but Mark maintains control. wallace tries to hold on but Mark postures up. wallace can't escape the position.
wallace is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. wallace regains half guard. wallace wants to control but Mark is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mark is looking to take a break and control but wallace is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. wallace tries to roll over but Mark keeps him under control. Mark tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Mark looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. wallace is looking to control Mark's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can wallace avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. wallace doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mark counters with a nice uppercut. Marky Mark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of spencer wallace. An inside leg kick lands from Mark. wallace misses with a series of wild punches.
Mark is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. wallace moves into the clinch successfully.
wallace is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marky Mark dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mark throws a head kick that wallace semi-blocks.
wallace shoots for a double leg takedown but Mark sprawls well. He's pushed wallace's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. wallace shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mark pinned against the cage. Mark gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. wallace misses with a few strikes there.
wallace keeps the fight on the outside. Mark cracks wallace with an open hand slap. wallace gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and wallace takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Marky Mark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of spencer wallace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mark goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mark will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. wallace will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round. wallace with a lazy takedown attempt and Mark counters with a lovely straight right hand! wallace shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mark counters with a shoot takedown. wallace fights it but they end up in guard. wallace looking for a sweep. Not yet wallace, not yet. wallace can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mark controls the pace. Mark avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
wallace lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mark! wallace in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mark is bucking up trying to escape but wallace cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Mark is looking to improve his position but wallace isn't that keen on the idea. wallace working the ground and pound effectively.
wallace scores with a couple of good head shots there.
wallace is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mark has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mark! wallace wants to sweep but no luck. Mark working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. wallace looking for a guillotine here but Mark defends easily.

Mark preventing the sweep. wallace is trying to control the position but Mark postures up. wallace looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mark is one step ahead there. Mark wanted to stand there but wallace had control of the position. wallace striking off his back, scoring a few points.

wallace fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mark, pushing him back against the cage. wallace drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mark gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mark is trying to break free. Mark tries to pull guard but wallace won't allow it.

wallace is working for takedown but Mark is calmly controlling the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marky Mark dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Mark throws a left and a right that both miss
and wallace counters with a straight right hand. wallace with a poor takedown and Mark counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. wallace shoots in for a takedown but Mark shows good takedown defense. Mark throws a sloppy head kick and wallace moves out of range easily. Mark lands a high kick!
Mark throws a front kick that sends wallace stumbling back into the cage. Marky Mark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mark showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from wallace.
Nice body kick from Mark. wallace wants to clinch up but Mark keeps it at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A right-left combo lands from Mark. wallace shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mark counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. wallace is lucky that one didn't land flush. Marky Mark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of spencer wallace. Mark lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. wallace shoots and misses and Mark makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. wallace really felt that one! wallace shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mark counters with a nice kick to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mark misses with a head kick.
Mark throws a right and a left that wallace avoids nicely. wallace shoots and misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. spencer wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mark misses with a wild combination.
Mark throws a right hand that wallace ducks under and follows up with a left that wallace also avoids with ease. wallace doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mark counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mark has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. wallace bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mark's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as wallace accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mark keeping full guard, as wallace tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. wallace is working Mark over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. wallace trying to control but Mark is working from the bottom. wallace is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. wallace tries to close the distance and clinch but Mark swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mark thows a body shot but no joy. wallace doesn't succeed with the takedown so Mark counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Mark would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. wallace manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
wallace punching from mount but Mark doing a good job of avoiding damage. wallace prevents Mark from getting the reversal. Mark trying desperately to get to his feet.
wallace looking to secure an arm triangle but Mark defends it well. Mark on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mark tries to get out of the position. Mark trying desperately to get to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. wallace has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mark's face.
wallace breaks from Mark's wrist control and lands an elbow. wallace lands a big shot there that rocks Mark but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Mark is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Mark tries to hold on but wallace pushes him away. Mark is looking to get to half guard. Mark tries to lock up and control but wallace gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. wallace goes for an armbar but Mark turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mark. Mark stopping the sweep attempt from wallace.
And that's the end of the fight! Marky Mark showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mark, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
