Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Melanie Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Crack Corn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crack Corn has chosen Jimmy crack corn and I dont care as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Melanie Powers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Crack Corn! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crack Corn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Crack Corn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Powers's guard. Crack Corn trying to mount his opponent but Powers defends it. Crack Corn passes to side control. Crack Corn trying to control the action but Powers is working from the bottom. Powers manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crack Corn is thwarting Powers's attempts to control the position. Crack Corn passes to side control. Crack Corn lands a decent elbow from side control. Powers is looking to reverse the position. Powers is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Crack Corn asserts his dominance and retains side control. Crack Corn working the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powers is trying to buck Crack Corn off. Crack Corn lands a nice forearm strike. Powers is looking to regain half guard here but Crack Corn keeps moving and retains side control. Powers is breathing heavily. Powers is trying to buck Crack Corn off. Crack Corn scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Powers to see if he's OK. Powers is pushing Crack Corn's head away, looking to escape. Crack Corn manages to hold on to the position though. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Crack Corn is trying to get an arm triangle but Powers is defending well. Crack Corn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Powers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Powers can't do much from the bottom here. Crack Corn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Crack Corn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn trying to control the action but Powers is working from the bottom. Crack Corn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Powers, who protects the arm well. Crack Corn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Crack Corn landing a few strikes. Powers tries to improve position but can't. Powers manages to get back to half guard. Powers wants to get back to full guard. Crack Corn is looking to take a break and control but Powers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Crack Corn uses his free foot to push down on Powers's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Powers.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn is working for a guillotine from mount but Powers frees his head quite easily.
Powers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Crack Corn landing strikes from the mount. Powers is trying to escape the mount but Crack Corn keeps good control and instead manages to take Powers's back.
Powers covers up after that shot from Crack Corn.
Powers breaks Crack Corn's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Powers drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Powers jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crack Corn is on top in guard.
Crack Corn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Powers's guard. Powers manages to get to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Powers tries to land a sweep but no joy. Powers with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Crack Corn can't handle though.

Powers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Crack Corn is working away from the top position though. Powers looks like he's trying to stand up.
Crack Corn has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Powers defend it? Crack Corn steps over the head and cranks it - Powers is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Crack Corn!
