Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Forest Tran (ranked 7466 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amirkhan Adaev (ranked 3863 p4p, 0 weight class). Forest Tran has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Forest Tran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Amirkhan Adaev! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adaev decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Adaev is working for a kimura but Tran is defending it quite comfortably.
Adaev wants to pass to mount but Tran is defending the position. Adaev takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tran is defending against the submission attempts here by Adaev.
Adaev slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adaev is pressing down on Tran's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tran is holding on for now. Tran wants to control but Adaev is keeping busy.
Adaev tries to stand and escape but Tran is controlling the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Adaev displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Forest Tran has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adaev tries a head kick but it misses.
Tran doesn't manage to clinch there - Adaev circles away.
Adaev let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Tran blocks a leg kick. Tran drives through and clinches with Adaev against the cage.
Tran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Adaev lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Tran is rocked! Adaev manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Oh Tran is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Adaev throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adaev had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tran defends it easily. Adaev looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Adaev manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Good body shot from Adaev.
Adaev creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Adaev works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Adaev controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Adaev works a leg free and moves into half guard. Tran seems to have got his legs back now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adaev content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Tran trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Adaev has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tran's face.

Adaev goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Tran is on top in guard.

Amirkhan Adaev dominated that round. The cut man is working on Forest Tran's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Adaev gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Adaev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Adaev rushes Tran and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Adaev scores with an uppercut up the middle. Adaev wants to break the clinch but can't.
Adaev gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tran regains guard.
Tran has momentary wrist control but Adaev slips an elbow through the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adaev would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Tran keeping full guard, as Adaev tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tran has his foot on Adaev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Adaev works his way back into a safe position though. Adaev is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Tran looking for a sweep. Not yet Tran, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tran looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Adaev tries to free his leg and advance position but Tran is retaining full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Adaev shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Adaev was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tran manages to get back to half guard. Amirkhan Adaev has got the better of the ground game so far. Adaev controlling the action here. Adaev missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Adaev seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Adaev is taking a breather. Tran says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adaev tries to stand and escape but Tran is controlling the position. Adaev controlling the action here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Adaev shoots in for a takedown but Tran shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Adaev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tran swivels and escapes. Adaev moves into range and clinches up with Tran. Adaev is struggling to control the position. Adaev has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tran clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Adaev connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Tran to escape the position.
Adaev lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Adaev.
Adaev controlling the position well here. Tran rolled but Adaev kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Adaev working for the choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amirkhan Adaev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Forest Tran's cut. That's time! Tran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Adaev punishes Tran's body with a nice straight punch. Adaev closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tran to the mat! Tran manages to get full guard. Tran is trying to keep Adaev in close.
Adaev seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tran has a closed guard, preventing Adaev from standing up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Adaev slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Adaev moves into the clinch. Adaev tightens his grip and picks Tran up, before dumping him to the ground. Tran manages to land in guard. Tran working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Adaev. Adaev throwing strikes but missing. Tran keeping full guard, as Adaev tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adaev content to stall in guard here. Tran will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tran tries to land a sweep but no joy. Adaev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tran swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Adaev throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tran was covering up waiting for the punch and Adaev finishes the takedown easily into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Adaev has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tran is proving hard to escape from. Adaev sitting in guard, not really doing much. Adaev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Adaev is continuing to stall.
And that's the end of the fight! Amirkhan Adaev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Adaev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
