Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Hardy (ranked 8530 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Doyle (ranked 6371 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Billy Hardy has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Hardy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Doyle! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doyle looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hardy is breathing heavily. Doyle passes Hardy's left leg - he's now in half guard. Doyle sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hardy defending well though. Doyle not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Still in half guard, Doyle seems content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Doyle wants to work for an arm triangle but Hardy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Doyle takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doyle is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hardy! Doyle controlling the pace for now. Doyle landing strikes from the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle working Hardy over with strikes here. Doyle is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hardy is surviving well by controlling Doyle's body position as best he can. Doyle wants to stand but Hardy is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Doyle has control of Hardy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hardy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Doyle tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Doyle breaks from Hardy's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doyle takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Doyle breaks from Hardy's wrist control and lands an elbow. Doyle raining down shots from the mount! Doyle looking to control and managing it successfully. Doyle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle working away from the top, dropping strikes. Doyle landing strikes from the mount. Doyle scoring with strikes but Hardy is staying in there.
Hardy is rocked! Doyle scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hardy?
Oh Hardy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Doyle tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. It looks like Doyle might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The referee warns Hardy that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hardy takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Doyle's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
