Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xafan Kong (ranked 556 p4p, 80 weight class) and Pollo Tropical (ranked 1494 p4p, 213 weight class). Kong comes into the arena with Demon's Theme blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Tropical takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Tropical tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Kong dips a shoulder and cracks Tropical with a mighty uppercut! Tropical falls back against the cage and Kong unloads with a barrage of strikes! Tropical is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Kong screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xafan Kong!
After the fight, Xafan Kong was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
