Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Colnago (ranked 640 p4p, 65 weight class) and Thierry Paulin (ranked 788 p4p, 80 weight class). Cesar Colnago has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thierry Paulin!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Colnago.
Colnago fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Colnago slips under a jab from Paulin.
Paulin connects with a jab.
Colnago stuns Paulin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Paulin looks to land a combination. Colnago sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Cesar Colnago has been cut.
Paulin takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Colnago throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Paulin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Cesar Colnago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paulin throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Colnago has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Paulin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Colnago.

Colnago tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Paulin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Paulin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Colnago sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Colnago instigates a clinch.

Colnago struggles to land a body shot inside as Paulin controls his hands.
Paulin breaks from the clinch.

Paulin tries to keep at a distance but Colnago has taken the fight into the clinch.
Paulin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Paulin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

It looked like Colnago wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Colnago bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Thierry Paulin has been cut.
Paulin misses with a straight left.
Paulin lets loose with a powerful body kick. Colnago will feel that in the morning.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Colnago dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Colnago is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Paulin's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Paulin is looking to slow Colnago down with leg kicks.
Paulin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Colnago.
A little jabbing left from Paulin on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
The crowd cheers as Paulin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Colnago doesn't seem phased though.
Colnago misses the shot to the body.
Colnago throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Paulin moves into range and connects with a jab.
Paulin sends Colnago crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Paulin is motioning to the referee to let Colnago up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Colnago is rocked!
Look low, kick high! Paulin uses the oldest trick in the book to send Colnago tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Paulin is absolutely delighted - when Colnago wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
