Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Stevenson (ranked 6927 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carson Wood (ranked 6070 p4p, 544 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Stevenson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carson Wood!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson tries to clinch but Wood moves out of range.

and Stevenson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Stevenson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Stevenson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wood defends it nicely.
A little jabbing left from Wood on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Wood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stevenson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wood looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stevenson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Stevenson is looking for a sweep. Wood is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wood connects with a nice short shot to Stevenson's temple.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Wood is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Stevenson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stevenson shrugs it off.

Well Wood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
