Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jirge Jorgen (ranked 7392 p4p, 437 weight class) and Gato Wali (ranked 25535 p4p, 505 weight class). Jirge Jorgen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jirge Jorgen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gato Wali!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wali looks to clinch
and Jorgen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wali looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jorgen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wali quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jorgen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wali tries to roll over but Jorgen keeps him under control.
Jorgen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Wali is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jorgen pulls his head out easily.

Wali shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Jorgen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Jorgen goes for a takedown attempt but Wali pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jorgen tries for a takedown but Wali sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Horrible takedown attempt by Wali or perhaps it was just good defense by Jorgen, which made it look bad.
Jorgen lands with a kick to the temple. Wali shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Jorgen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jorgen.
Wali is rocked!
No luck for Jorgen with that takedown attempt.

Jorgen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wali defends well and Jorgen ends up having to push Wali into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jorgen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wali to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Wali seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd cheers as Jorgen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wali doesn't seem phased though.

Jorgen is looking for a triangle here but Wali uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Jorgen manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Jorgen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wali is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Jorgen throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Jorgen throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Wali because Jorgen loaded up on that one.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jorgen thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Wali is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jorgen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wali seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jorgen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jirge Jorgen.
Well Jorgen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
