1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Don Don! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Sazykin with that takedown attempt. Don is looking for the big counter here. Don looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sazykin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Don stuffs the takedown. Don lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Sazykin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've been told by Sazykin's head coaches at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches - $300/Week that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Sazykin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Don looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Sazykin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Don is trying to stand up here but Sazykin is controlling him well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sazykin moves into full mount! Don won't be happy about that! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sazykin is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Don is in real trouble.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sazykin really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Don. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sazykin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
