Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Lesliah Souza (ranked 8917 p4p, 669 weight class) and Jack Zabijaka (ranked 5873 p4p, 550 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lesliah Souza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Zabijaka! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zabijaka closes the distance and clinches. Souza wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zabijaka has him pressed against the ropes. Souza breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Souza appears to be looking for a big counter. Zabijaka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! I was talking to Souza's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Zabijaka is trying to maintain a safe position but Souza gets an underhook and turns Zabijaka into the ropes. Zabijaka softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Souza wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Zabijaka manages to break the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lesliah Souza. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Souza, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
