Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Bong Ki Duk (ranked 3776 p4p, 82 weight class) and Oberion McKane (ranked 18205 p4p, 179 weight class). Ki Duk comes to the ring accompanied by north korea's national anthem. Bong Ki Duk had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
36 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bong Ki Duk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oberion McKane! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKane takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Oberion McKane has been cut. McKane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ki Duk. Ki Duk doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Ki Duk tries to clinch up and McKane makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Ki Duk falls off balance throwing a combination
and McKane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ki Duk!

and McKane counters with a left to the body. Ki Duk moves out of range as McKane strikes. McKane gets a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ki Duk swings wildly with an uppercut but McKane uses good head movement to avoid it. Ki Duk throws a head punch that misses. Ki Duk definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. McKane stalling against the ropes.

That's one minute gone in the round. McKane blocks a punch to the side of the head.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, McKane creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ki Duk goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
McKane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McKane clinches. Ki Duk swings away with an uppercut that misses.
McKane tries a body shot but Ki Duk blocks it.
McKane lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Ki Duk tries a body shot but McKane blocks it.
McKane has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Ki Duk seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if McKane can turn it around. Ki Duk tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McKane's elbow. Ki Duk throws a knee to the head but misses.
McKane manages to break the clinch.
McKane checks a leg kick. Ki Duk chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McKane can pounce on him.
Ki Duk scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. McKane connects with the punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice cross by McKane. Ki Duk throws a head kick but McKane moves out of range.

Bong Ki Duk's cut is getting worse. Ki Duk staying out of range there. Ki Duk falls off balance throwing a combination
and McKane counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Ki Duk is breathing heavily. Ki Duk misses with a two punch combination.
It seemed like McKane was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Ki Duk takes a body punch but keeps moving. McKane pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and McKane counters with a left to the body. Ki Duk takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. McKane moves into range and connects with a jab.
Bong Ki Duk's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. McKane looks low and kicks high, catching Ki Duk right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ki Duk takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Ki Duk tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. McKane fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jeez, Bong Ki Duk's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. McKane digs a good hook to Ki Duk's body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oberion McKane dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ki Duk has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McKane. Ki Duk throws a sloppy body shot
and McKane counters with a nice leg kick. McKane checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Bong Ki Duk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ki Duk throws a leg kick that is checked and McKane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. McKane lands a jab to Ki Duk's midsection. McKane connects with an inside leg kick. McKane fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ki Duk looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Ki Duk takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bong Ki Duk's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Oberion McKane! A relieved looking Oberion McKane thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
