Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Doyle (ranked 5176 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Hardy (ranked 9618 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Michael Doyle is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Doyle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Hardy! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doyle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hardy, pushing him back against the cage. Hardy looks winded! Doyle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hardy just stands there and leans against the cage. Hardy trying to land knees to the body.
Doyle decides to pull guard. Doyle wants to stand up but Hardy is controlling him. Doyle managing to control the position. Hardy wants to control from the top but Doyle keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hardy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Doyle dives on top into guard. Doyle showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Doyle looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Doyle tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Doyle just content to control the position. Doyle wants to stand but Hardy is controlling his arm. Doyle scoring with punches from side control. Doyle controlling from side mount. Doyle decides to take the fight back to the feet. Doyle shoots in and drives through. Hardy sprawls well. Hardy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle moves into the clinch. Doyle trying to land knees to the body.
Doyle manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Doyle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hardy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hardy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Doyle is pulling down on Hardy's head to control his posture. Doyle has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doyle throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hardy stops Doyle from standing up. Hardy is fighting to break Doyle's control of his arms but Doyle is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Doyle is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Doyle dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hardy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hardy wants it to stay on the feet. Hardy unleashes a big counter combination but Doyle bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Doyle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hardy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Doyle has a takedown stuffed. Doyle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hardy fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doyle shoots in for a takedown but Hardy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Doyle. That's going to take a lot out of him. Doyle dives in for a single leg takedown but Hardy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Doyle closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hardy did well to prevent Doyle getting side control. Hardy is breathing heavily. Doyle frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle lands a nice shot to the head. Doyle scoring with strikes but Hardy is staying in there. Doyle controlling from the full mount. Hardy in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Doyle lands a big shot there that rocks Hardy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Doyle content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doyle lands a big elbow. Doyle landing strikes from the mount and Hardy is in trouble! A nice elbow there by Doyle. Doyle takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. A nice elbow there by Doyle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Doyle lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle looking to control and managing it successfully. Doyle lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hardy hang on? Doyle with a couple of short strikes.
Hardy is rocked! Doyle tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hardy is still in real trouble! Can Doyle finish him? Doyle seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hardy for as long as he can get away with. Michael Doyle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Doyle in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doyle lands a couple of good shots and Hardy has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Doyle has Hardy flattened out and is raining down punches. Doyle controlling from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hardy fending off the submission attempt from Doyle. Doyle controlling the position well here. Hardy rolled but Doyle kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Doyle lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Hardy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Doyle dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
A solid body kick from Doyle. Hardy seems to have recovered his senses. Doyle feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hardy's calf. Doyle drops Hardy with a beautiful combination! Hardy stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Doyle is looking for the KO! Doyle scores with a nice body kick.
Doyle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Michael Doyle is winning the standup battle so far. Doyle throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Doyle shoots in but Hardy avoids the takedown attempt easily. Doyle sets himself, and Hardy steps forward looking for the clinch! Doyle avoids it this time. Doyle shoots in and drives through. Hardy sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Doyle. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hardy takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Hardy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Doyle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle tries to close the distance and clinch but Hardy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Doyle shoots in but Hardy avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hardy keeps the fight on the outside. Doyle dives in and scores a takedown into Hardy's guard. Doyle wants to stand but Hardy has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Doyle lands a couple of elbows. Doyle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hardy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Doyle advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doyle tries for a kimura but Hardy is defending well. Doyle controls the position. Doyle decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hardy to his feet. Doyle fails in his attempt to clinch. Doyle shoots in for a double leg but Hardy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hardy takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Doyle misses the target. Hardy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hardy is looking to stand back up but Doyle counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hardy. Doyle not doing much here.
Doyle is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hardy can do to turn this around? Doyle is trying to work for a kimura but Hardy is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doyle is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Doyle tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Hardy won't allow Doyle to pass to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Doyle showed his dominance in that final round. Well Doyle has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
