The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Villefort takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Traylor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh De Villefort is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

De Villefort seems to have got his legs back now.

De Villefort ducks into a a hook from Traylor and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

Having scored a knockdown, Slade Traylor should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slade Traylor was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
