The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mckay.
Reynolds throws a big counter combination but Mckay scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Reynolds scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
You can see the frustration on Mckay's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Reynolds cracks Mckay with a big elbow.
Mckay is looking to regain half guard here but Reynolds keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mckay holds on to Reynolds's head and controls the position momentarily.

Mckay parries the strikes from Reynolds easily there. Reynolds is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mckay to escape.
Reynolds is working Mckay over with some ground and pound from side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Reynolds has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Reynolds moves into range and clinches up with Mckay.
Reynolds tries to break the clinch but Mckay is controlling the position.

Reynolds has Mckay pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Reynolds pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mckay tumbling to the mat - Reynolds dives into Mckay's guard.

Mckay should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mckay lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mckay slips nicely into half guard.
Mckay takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Mckay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reynolds keeps working.
Reynolds wants to control but Mckay is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Reynolds is staying active underneath Mckay, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Reynolds manages to get to full guard.
Mckay's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Reynolds keeping full guard, as Mckay tries to pass.
Reynolds is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mckay throwing strikes but missing.

Horrible takedown attempt by Mckay or perhaps it was just good defense by Reynolds, which made it look bad.

Reynolds closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reynolds lands in his opponent's guard.

Mckay is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Reynolds has his hands clasped together but Mckay extends and breaks Reynolds's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mckay.
