Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Higo Higa!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Higa.
De Chandler drives through with a takedown into guard.
Higa wants to get back to his feet but De Chandler passes into half guard.
Higa is defending against the submission attempts here by De Chandler.
De Chandler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Higa does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Chandler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Higa has managed to free his arm - good work.
De Chandler throwing shots but Higa is blocking nicely.
De Chandler has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Higa is refusing to be controlled, as De Chandler sits in half guard.
De Chandler is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Higa is just riding it out for now. De Chandler eventually gives up the hold.
De Chandler seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Higa is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
