Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohamed Walal (ranked 4858 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Harly (ranked 8101 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mohamed Walal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Harly!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walal shoots in but no luck this time.
Walal fails to land the takedown.
Harly has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Walal is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Walal tries to score a power double leg takedown but Harly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Walal somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mohamed Walal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A right-left combo lands from Harly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walal shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Walal in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Walal lands strikes from half guard.
Walal is trying to control the action in half guard but Harly is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Walal is looking to advance position but Harly won't allow it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Walal connects with a nice short shot to Harly's temple.

Walal wants to take a breather but Harly is having none of it.
Walal tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Walal shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harly but Harly pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Walal shoots in looking for a takedown. Harly tries to sprawl out of it but Walal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Harly throws a counter combo.

Walal closes the distance and clinches.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Walal lands an elbow that stopped Harly in his tracks for a moment.
Harly blocks a body shot from Walal.
Walal is struggling to control the position.
Walal tries to work over Harly's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Walal pulls guard successfully.
Walal might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Walal preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Walal is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Harly manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Harly throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Harly tries a body shot but Walal blocks it.

Walal has hold of one of Harly's legs. Harly is fighting the takedown attempt but Walal gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Walal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Walal postures up.
Walal is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Walal trying to control the position from guard on top but Harly is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walal slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Walal is looking to pass into half guard but Harly pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Harly is in guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Harly throws a big right hand that misses.
Mohamed Walal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Walal looking to hit a scissor sweep but Harly is one step ahead there.
Harly throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walal works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Walal striking off his back, scoring a few points.
Walal pulls Harly in to control the position.
Walal wants to sweep here but Harly controlling him for the moment.
Walal utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walal tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Walal lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Walal content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Walal stands and throws Harly's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Harly is breathing heavily.
Walal lands a few punches from side control.
Walal tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Walal sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Harly is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Harly is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Walal is controlling him well.

Walal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walal's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Walal is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Harly can't fight it off and eventually Walal manages to take the fight to the floor. Harly looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Harly manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Walal keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Walal has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Harly after a bit of a struggle.
Harly drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Harly prevents a body shot from Walal.
Walal is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Harly gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Walal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Harly has one foot on Walal's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
