Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Larsen (ranked 24627 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borde Baws (ranked 6105 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Larsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Borde Baws!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baws closes the distance and clinches.
Larsen looking for a takedown.

Baws turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Larsen really is a fat lump.
Baws controlling the position.
It looks like Baws might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Baws's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baws tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Larsen sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Baws is trying to control the action in half guard but Larsen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Larsen is looking to improve his position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Baws sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Larsen defending well though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A head kick from Baws lands but Larsen takes it in his stride.


It looks like Justin Larsen has been cut.
Larsen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Baws pinned against the cage. Baws gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Larsen fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Baws is out of range.
Larsen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Left hook, right uppercut from Baws.

Baws closes the distance and pushes Larsen back into the cage.

Larsen looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Larsen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Baws manages to break the clinch.
Baws swats away the attempt to clinch by Larsen.

Baws drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Baws trying to control but Larsen is working from the bottom.
Larsen wants to sweep but no luck.
Baws passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Baws wants to lay and pray for a moment but Larsen keeps working.
Larsen being controlled for a moment.
Baws sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Larsen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Baws working the strikes but Larsen uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Baws shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Baws was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Larsen is not content to let Baws control the position.
Baws working away.

Baws decides to stand up, so the ref orders Larsen to his feet.

Baws decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Baws thows a huge punch but Larsen dodges it nicely.

Baws stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Larsen to get to his feet.

Baws fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Larsen, pushing him back against the cage.
Baws gets underhooks to prevent Larsen's takedown attempt.
Baws has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Baws breaks from the clinch.

Baws clinches up with Larsen and pushes him back against the cage.

Baws is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Larsen can't fight it off and eventually Baws manages to take the fight to the floor. Larsen looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Baws gets to his feet. Larsen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Baws moves into the clinch.

Baws breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Baws clinches with his opponent.

Larsen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Baws is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Larsen to the mat. Larsen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Larsen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Baws is one step ahead there.
Baws wants to pass the guard but Larsen is keeping the position.
Baws throws a strike but Larsen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Larsen postures up in Baws's guard and throws a big left but Baws blocks it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Baws looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Larsen passes into side control.
Baws takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Borde Baws showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Baws checks a leg kick.
Larsen tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Baws is able to avoid easily.
Larsen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Baws tries to counter with a clinch but Larsen shakes him off and moves away.

Baws instigates a clinch.

Baws has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Larsen is trying to keep an underhook but Baws manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Larsen pushes Baws off and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baws drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Larsen is trying to control the position but Baws postures up.
Baws throws a strike but Larsen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Baws. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Baws controls Larsen momentarily but Larsen frees himself.
Larsen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Baws throws his legs up looking for a submission but Larsen uses it to pass to side control.
Baws is trying to control Larsen's posture but Larsen avoids it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Baws is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Larsen landing strikes.
Larsen working the ground and pound but Baws is defending the strikes.
Baws tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Baws is trying to work for a sweep but Larsen has mounted him!
Borde Baws has got the better of the ground game so far.
Baws takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee warns Baws that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Larsen looking to finish Baws with some ground and pound. This is bad for Baws!
Larsen lands a big shot there that rocks Baws but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Baws wants to hold on but Larsen pushes him away.
Larsen prevents Baws from getting the reversal.
Larsen won't let Baws get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Larsen lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Baws regains half guard.
Larsen controlling the action here.

Larsen lands with a punch from half guard.
Larsen slips a nice elbow through Baws's hands, connecting with Baws's forehead.
Baws regains full guard. Nicely done.
Baws keeping moving, preventing Larsen from controlling successfully.
Baws wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Larsen is in close to Baws's body, working some short punches and elbows.

And that's the end of the fight!
Justin Larsen showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Baws has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
