PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Ingle (ranked 5617 p4p, 518 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 3357 p4p, 356 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ingle might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Peak Times by Switch. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Oscar Meyer enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joseph Ingle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Meyer!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ingle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Meyer sprawls well. Meyer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ingle gets slowly back to his feet.
Meyer is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Meyer lands a big right hand that sends Ingle crashing to the mat! Meyer stays standing though and waves Ingle back to his feet!


It looks like Joseph Ingle has been cut.
Ingle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Meyer circles away.
Meyer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ingle darts in looking for a takedown but Meyer gets double underhooks and turns Ingle into the cage.
Meyer is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Ingle. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ingle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Meyer, pushing him back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ingle tries to score a body lock takedown but Meyer shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Ingle drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Meyer gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Ingle keeps control of Meyer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Meyer is trying to force a seperation but Ingle has the dominant position.
Meyer is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Meyer lands with a right to the head.
Ingle is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Meyer is defending well.

Ingle has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Meyer regains guard immediately.
Ingle is looking to work some ground and pound but Meyer has wrist control.

Meyer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ingle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ingle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ingle stands up over Meyer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Ingle working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Meyer's head.
Ingle is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Meyer controls Ingle momentarily but Ingle frees himself.
Ingle passes Meyer's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ingle working over Meyer with some ground and pound. Meyer looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ingle lands a nice short elbow.
Ingle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Meyer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ingle connects with a nice short shot to Meyer's temple.
Meyer wants to get back to full guard.
Ingle is trying to control. Meyer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ingle is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Ingle looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Ingle winds up and cracks Meyer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Meyer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ingle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ingle seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meyer wants to improve his position but Ingle is controlling well.
Meyer on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Ingle winds up and cracks Meyer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ingle lands a nice short elbow.
Ingle is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ingle working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Ingle works his way into side control.

Ingle passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Meyer!
Ingle landing punches.
Meyer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Meyer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ingle haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Meyer is rocked!
Meyer in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Meyer is still in real trouble! Can Ingle finish him?

Ingle wants to control the pace but Meyer is squirming around nicely.
Ingle postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Meyer looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ingle controlling his opponent.
Meyer is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Meyer seems to have recovered his senses.
Ingle controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joseph Ingle dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Joseph Ingle's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Ingle looks to clinch
enabling Meyer to counter with a crisp jab.
Ingle looks to land a left hand but Meyer moved out of range nicely.

Meyer clinches up against the cage.
Ingle is looking for a takedown.
Meyer is trying to break the clinch but Ingle is controlling him.

Ingle has clasped his hands together around Meyer's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Ingle lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Meyer down.
Meyer tries to buck Ingle off but Ingle is having none of it.
Ingle looks up at the clock and then as Meyer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ingle smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ingle lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Meyer down.
Ingle just content to control the position.
Ingle lands some shots froms side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ingle cracks Meyer with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Ingle working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Meyer takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Ingle is chipping away with strikes.
Ingle working the body and head with strikes.
Meyer takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Ingle lands an elbow.
Meyer tries to improve position but can't.
Ingle in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Meyer looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Ingle turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joseph Ingle!
