Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chief Eyes (ranked 4514 p4p, 463 weight class) and John Johnson (ranked 4572 p4p, 470 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eyes moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.
Eyes tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Eyes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Johnson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Eyes tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Johnson misses with a double jab.
A punch lands to the side of Eyes 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Eyes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Eyes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It seemed like Johnson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Eyes closes the distance looking to clinch
and Johnson counters with a series of strikes. Eyes will be more careful next time no doubt.
Johnson stalks Eyes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Eyes's face. Eyes staggers backwards, shaken.
This has been an exciting period of action!

letting Eyes counter with a right hand.

A little jabbing left from Johnson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Johnson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Eyes cracks Johnson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Eyes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Eyes throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.
Chief Eyes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson throws a series of punches but Eyes moves out of range.
Johnson throws a right hand that Eyes ducks under and follows up with a left that Eyes also avoids with ease.
Eyes lands with an uppercut that bounces Johnson off the cage and back into range.
Nice uppercut lands for Johnson. That snapped Eyes's head back.
Eyes scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
A looping hook to the body misses from Eyes. Johnson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Eyes takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Johnson lands with an uppercut that bounces Eyes off the cage and back into range.
Eyes wants to clinch.

and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Eyes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Johnson. Johnson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Johnson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Eyess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Eyes connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Johnson! He's out on his feet! Eyes rushes in and drops Johnson with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
