Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gomu Gomu (ranked 229 p4p, 23 weight class) and Zeph Frazier (ranked 121 p4p, 12 weight class). Frazier has chosen "Apparently" by J. Cole as his entrance music. Gomu Gomu could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Zeph Frazier's chin.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomu getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Frazier throws a hook to the side of Gomu's head but Gomu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
It looked like Gomu wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Gomu ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gomu fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Gomu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frazier paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Frazier counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Gomu Gomu has been cut.
Gomu Gomu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Frazier looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A combination from Gomu does no damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Frazier takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Frazier scores with a kick to the body.
Frazier gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Frazier has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gomu finds it's way round the side to connect with Frazier's head.

Frazier let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Gomu uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Gomu wants to clinch up but Frazier keeps it at a distance.

and Frazier makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gomu is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Gomu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Frazier has time to react.
It looks like Zeph Frazier has been cut.
Frazier tries to move into range but Gomu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gomu cracks Frazier with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The fighters circle momentarily. Gomu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gomu is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Frazier feints a counter leg kick.
Frazier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gomu throws out the jab.

and Frazier cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gomu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

letting Frazier counter with a right hand.
Frazier keeps the fight on the outside.

Frazier throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gomu sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Gomu keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Frazier counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Gomu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Frazier was well out of range. Poor timing from Gomu.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Frazier is looking for the big counter here.

and Frazier connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Frazier ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Frazier follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Gomu lands with a hook. Frazier tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gomu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frazier paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Frazier now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gomu Gomu dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nice straight punches there by Gomu. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gomu.
Frazier slips a straight right by Gomu.
Frazier takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Gomu has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Frazier might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Gomu has got the better of the exchanges.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gomu walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Frazier checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Zeph Frazier was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
