Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thad Aguilar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cho Yong Seung!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seung has taken the fight to the clinch.
Aguilar stalling in the clinch.
Aguilar is looking to break free of the clinch but Seung has double underhooks.
Seung tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Aguilar just stands there and leans against the cage.
Seung is trying to break free.
Seung wants to take the fight to the mat but Aguilar manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Aguilar really is a fat lump.

Aguilar manages to break the clinch.

Seung takes the fight into the clinch.
Aguilar tries to break the clinch but Seung is controlling the position.
Seung trying to stall but Aguilar improves his position.
Seung tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Aguilar just stands there and leans against the cage.

Aguilar breaks from the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Seung tries to pull guard but Aguilar forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Seung, as that shot connected.

Aguilar decides to stand up, so the ref orders Seung to his feet.
Seung moves out of range of the body kick from Aguilar.
And Seung responds with a good body kick, but Aguilar manages to step out the way in time.

Aguilar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Seung is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Aguilar's half guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Aguilar keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Seung throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Aguilar tries to roll over but Seung keeps him under control.

Aguilar keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Aguilar is breathing heavily.
Seung is looking to take a break and control but Aguilar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Seung lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Seung is keen to just control but Aguilar is a slippery customer.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Aguilar avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Seung.

Seung is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Aguilar!

Seung avoids the attempt from Aguilar to control.
Aguilar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Seung on the ground.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Seung cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Aguilar can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aguilar tries to lock up and control but Seung gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Seung is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Aguilar can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cho Yong Seung dominated that round.
That's time! Aguilar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Aguilar darts in looking for a takedown but Seung gets double underhooks and turns Aguilar into the cage.

Seung clinches with his opponent.
Aguilar stalls.
Aguilar lands a nice uppercut.

Aguilar breaks the clinch.
Seung shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Aguilar defends it nicely.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Seung.

Seung throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aguilar's waist but Aguilar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Seung off to one side.

Seung tries to sprawl but Aguilar drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Aguilar wants to stand up but Seung has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Aguilar content to control rather than advance.
Seung is trying to maintain the position but Aguilar is very close to passing his half guard.
Seung is looking to improve his position.
It looks like Aguilar is going to stand back up.
Seung is looking for a sweep. Aguilar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Seung pushes Aguilar off looking to stand but Aguilar dives back in and keeps control.
Seung tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Aguilar manages to move to mount!

Aguilar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Seung manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Aguilar stands up and beckons Seung to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Seung is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aguilar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Aguilar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Aguilar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Seung.

Seung tries to get to full guard but Aguilar has control of the leg.
Seung has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Aguilar is working away from the top position though.

Well, if Aguilar is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Aguilar stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Aguilar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Seung's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Aguilar gets to his feet - Seung follows without any prompting.
Seung shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aguilar pinned against the cage. Aguilar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Aguilar shoots in and bounces Seung off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Aguilar tries to stand but Seung is controlling from the bottom.

Aguilar looks to land a body kick but Seung moved away.

Seung gets a clinch.

Aguilar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Seung wants to control but Aguilar postures up.

Seung tries to circle away but Aguilar has him pinned against the cage.

Seung forces Aguilar back against the cage and clinches.

Aguilar wants to get back to striking at distance but Seung won't allow it.

Aguilar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Seung shoots for a takedown but Aguilar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Seung rushes Aguilar and presses him up against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Thad Aguilar showed his dominance in that final round.
