Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sydney Woods (ranked 9281 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Schnieder (ranked 5980 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Schnieder! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schnieder gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Schnieder wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Woods has him pressed against the cage. Schnieder has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Woods clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Schnieder is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Woods has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Woods is really stuck here.
Woods is trying to get back to his feet but Schnieder has full control of the position and if anything, Woods has just worked his way into a worse spot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woods wants to escape the position.
Woods is working hard here to advance position. Schnieder is looking to control Woods but Woods is wriggling around and keeping busy. Schnieder missing with punches from the back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woods fending off the submission attempt from Schnieder. Woods trying to get back to his feet but Schnieder is in full control for now. Woods wants to escape the position.
Schnieder is looking for the choke from the back position but Woods is controlling his hands well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Schnieder cracks Woods with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Woods from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
The referee is taking a good look at Woods as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Schnieder!

Woods fending off the submission attempt from Schnieder. Schnieder is trying to stick to Woods's back but Woods is turning into Schnieder. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Schnieder's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Woods.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schnieder working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Woods has passed into half guard!
Woods is looking for a kimura but Schnieder is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Woods to get the leverage. Woods is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Schnieder avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Woods. Woods will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Schnieder is trying to stand up here but Woods is controlling him well. Schnieder makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Schnieder. Schnieder pulls Woods in close to prevent any damage. Schnieder working a defensive guard but Woods passes into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Schnieder strikes from the bottom but Woods passes into mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chris Schnieder will probably get the nod. That's time! Woods's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Woods throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Schnieder with the counter takedown but Woods avoids it easily. Schnieder changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Woods looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Woods bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Schnieder darts in and clinches Woods up against the cage. Schnieder jumps guard and drags Woods to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Schnieder looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
This has been an exciting period of action! Schnieder pulls Woods in close to prevent any damage. Chris Schnieder has got the better of the ground game so far. Woods drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Schnieder manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Woods has Schnieder in his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woods keeping moving, preventing Schnieder from controlling successfully. Schnieder is stalling in the full guard. Woods throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Schnieder passes easily into side control. Nice work. Check out the look on Schnieder's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Schnieder cracks Woods with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Schnieder immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Woods is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Schnieder!
