Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinn Helix (ranked 4525 p4p, 523 weight class) and Joseph Jones (ranked 9199 p4p, 768 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Quinn Helix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joseph Jones! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Helix's waist but Helix gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Helix keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Helix throws a big counter combination but Jones scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Jones closes the distance and pushes Helix back into the cage. Helix is pushing Jones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Helix slows down the pace here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones letting Helix take a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Jones's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jones wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Helix lands on the inside with an uppercut. Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Helix to keep the fight standing. Quinn Helix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Jones. Helix stops a takedown attempt from Jones.

Joseph Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones misses with a leg kick. Helix appears to be looking for a big counter. Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones. Helix shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Helix to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jab, jab by Jones - just one landing. Helix throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jones stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Helix counters with a nice body shot. Helix is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Helix connects with a body shot that sends Jones's belly button to the back. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Helix tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Helix.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones goes for a double leg but Helix avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Helix continues to drive forward. Jones misses with a takedown and Helix connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Helix counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jones looks winded! Nice sprawl there from Helix as Jones shoots in. Helix throws a big counter combination but Jones scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
Helix went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Jones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Helix appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Helix counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Jones is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Helix dances in with a quick combination. Jones is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Helix snaps Jones's head back. Jones stumbles backwards against the cage. Helix steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Jones's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Jones just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Quinn Helix! Quinn Helix decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
