The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from guimas, right into the meat.
Queixo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
luisinhow guimas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
guimas misses with a head kick.
guimas tries to clinch but Queixo is having none of it.

guimas lands a big uppercut and Queixo crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Queixo looks OK. guimas waves Queixo back to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Queixo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
guimas lands a nice elbow.
Queixo keeps control of guimas as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
guimas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
guimas throws a sloppy head kick and Queixo moves out of range easily.
guimas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Queixo.
Queixo tries to close the distance and clinch but guimas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Queixo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Queixo slips a straight right by guimas.
guimas clinches but Queixo breaks the clinch
and Queixo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in guimas's guard now.
guimas trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

guimas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
guimas trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Queixo advances position into side control!
Queixo just content to control the position.
guimas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Queixo on the ground.
guimas is looking to get back to his feet here but Queixo is keeping cool and he's managed to take guimas's back.
guimas wants to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Queixo has good solid back control here.
guimas holding both Queixo 's hands and preventing any damage.
Queixo working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but guimas is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Queixo has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! guimas taps out!
