Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oro Lono (ranked 2931 p4p, 299 weight class) and Chris Cornell (ranked 2331 p4p, 251 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oro Lono! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Cornell! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cornell darts in looking for a takedown but Lono gets double underhooks and turns Cornell into the cage. Cornell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cornell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Oro Lono has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Cornell. Cornell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lono as he avoids it easily. Lono thumps Cornell with a low kick. Cornell tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Lono leaves Cornell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lono looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Lono stuffs the takedown attempt from Cornell. Cornell gets slowly back to his feet. Cornell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Cornell shoots in and drives through. Lono sprawls well. Cornell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lono can pounce on him.
Cornell checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Cornell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lono sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cornell somewhat. Cornell checks a leg kick nicely. Lono stuffs the takedown attempt from Cornell. Cornell gets slowly back to his feet. Cornell shoots in looking for a takedown. Lono tries to sprawl out of it but Cornell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lono manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cornell takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Lono.

Cornell fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lono keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cornell takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Lono lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Cornell shoots in for a double leg but Lono sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A nice leg kick lands there from Lono. Horrible takedown attempt by Cornell or perhaps it was just good defense by Lono, which made it look bad. Lono throws a leg kick but Cornell sees it coming and checks it nicely. Lono stuffs the takedown. Cornell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lono circles away. Cornell fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cornell looks winded! Cornell goes for a double leg but Lono avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lono continues to drive forward. Lono scoring well with a low kick there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lono lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Oro Lono is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cornell darts in looking for a takedown but Lono gets double underhooks and turns Cornell into the cage. Lono keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lono half committed to a counter leg kick. Cornell tries for a takedown but Lono sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lono fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cornell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Lono feints and then cracks Cornell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cornell down. Cornell checks a leg kick. Cornell has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lono. Lono scores with a leg kick.
Lono feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cornell's calf. That kick from Lono tenderised Cornell's leg. Cornell is trying to keep his angry face on. Lono attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Some bone on bone action there as Cornell checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Lono throws a nice outside leg kick. Lono attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Lono finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Cornell is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Cornell blocks a low kick nicely. Cornell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Cornell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Lono throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Cornell controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cornell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lono is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lono tries to bench press Cornell off him but Cornell keeps the position. Lono on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lono tries to get out of the position. Lono prevents Cornell from improving position. Cornell slows the pace down. Lono throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Cornell is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lono's shoulder. That is not cool. Lono definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Lono tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cornell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cornell has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lono! Cornell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Cornell swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
