PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orval Parker (ranked 25750 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Mckay (ranked 9288 p4p, 673 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Richard Mckay was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mckay throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Parker is looking to counter punch.

Mckay drives through and clinches with Parker against the cage.
Mckay should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mckay manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mckay has his hands on Parker's head, controlling the position.
Mckay controls Parker momentarily but Parker frees himself.
Parker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Parker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mckay on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mckay is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Parker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
