0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bekim Adlar! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adlar moves into the clinch successfully.
Daugherty creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Adlar wants the takedown. Daugherty is fighting it off but Adlar persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Daugherty's guard against the cage. Daugherty has his feet on Adlar's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Daugherty gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Adlar to score an easy takedown into full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Adlar lands a couple of decent looking shots. Daugherty preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Adlar trying to control but Daugherty is working from the bottom. Daugherty not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Adlar lands a couple of elbows. Daugherty is trying to control the position but Adlar postures up. Adlar is looking to work some ground and pound but Daugherty has wrist control. Adlar throws a big elbow that misses. Daugherty preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Adlar keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Daugherty's head. Daugherty might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Adlar with a flurry of punches that miss. Adlar looking to sit in guard and control but Daugherty gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Adlar looking for a sweep. Not yet Adlar, not yet. Adlar is adopting a defensive guard. Adlar has his feet on Daugherty's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adlar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Adlar is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Adlar controlling the action here. Adlar looks to score some points with some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Adlar lands with a punch from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adlar looks to land a strike but Daugherty avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Daugherty preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Adlar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Daugherty is breathing heavily. Adlar chips away with some ground and pound. Adlar lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Adlar is in close to Daugherty's body, working some short punches and elbows. Adlar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Adlar lands a couple of digs. Adlar gets to his feet - Daugherty follows without any prompting. Adlar circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Daugherty to the canvas! Daugherty doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Adlar keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bekim Adlar! In his post fight interview, Bekim Adlar started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
