The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McBeth slips under a jab from Here. Here moves in looking to clinch but McBeth pushes him off. Here connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Paulski McBeth has been cut. McBeth ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Here moves away. Here throws a shot from downtown. McBeth moves away and avoids it. Good standup being displayed there by McBeth as he connects with a hook. Here fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McBeth avoids it really well and circles away. Here backing away here, and McBeth unleashes a leg kick that just misses. McBeth throws a nice outside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McBeth connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Your Name Here seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Here shoots in for a double leg but McBeth sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Here moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Here takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. McBeth uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Here.

McBeth throws a combination. Here tries to block but a couple of punches get through. McBeth bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Here's head. Here throws a good cross that connects.

I was talking to Here's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Here goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

McBeth slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Here is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but McBeth is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Here manages to regain half guard. Good work. Here wants to control but McBeth is keeping busy and won't allow it. McBeth with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Here has hold of one of McBeth's legs. McBeth is fighting the takedown attempt but Here gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McBeth is trying to keep Here in close.
