The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Graves misses.

Graves tries to keep at a distance but Amirov has taken the fight into the clinch.
Amirov is trying to break the clinch but Graves is controlling him.
Graves scores with a shoulder strike.
Graves lands with a short shot to the head.
Amirov stalling in the clinch but Graves improves position.
Graves misses with the head strike.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Amirov is trying to pull guard but Graves has him pressed against the cage.
Graves swings wildly with an uppercut but Amirov uses good head movement to avoid it.

Graves tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Graves lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Amirov backwards.

Amirov jumps guard but Graves stands there with Amirov around his waist. Amirov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Graves scores with a nice hook to the head.

Amirov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Graves clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Graves tries to roll but Amirov sticks to his back.

Graves defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Amirov's arms.
Amirov doesn't have the hooks in and Graves manages to turn into his guard.
Amirov pulls Graves in close to his closed guard and prevents Graves from doing any damage or advancing position.
Graves forces his way into half guard.
Amirov is staying active underneath Graves, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
