Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Forest Tran (ranked 8615 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaplan Temrezov (ranked 4413 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Forest Tran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kaplan Temrezov! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A chopping leg kick lands by Temrezov. Temrezov misses with a body kick. Tran drops down looking for a counter takedown but Temrezov sprawls and moves away. Temrezov pushes Tran up against the cage in a clinch. Temrezov breaks from the clinch.
Tran tries to keep at a distance but Temrezov has taken the fight into the clinch. Temrezov breaks from the clinch.
Temrezov shoots in but Tran avoids the takedown attempt easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Temrezov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tran is fending him off so far but Temrezov persists. Nope, Tran circles away and we're back to standing. Temrezov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Temrezov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tran as he avoids it easily. Forest Tran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaplan Temrezov. Temrezov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Temrezov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Temrezov looks winded! Tran has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Temrezov is working away from the top position though. Tran manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Temrezov is looking to work some ground and pound but Tran has wrist control. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tran is on top in guard.
Tran postures up and lands a big shot to Temrezov's brow. Temrezov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tran preventing the sweep. Temrezov is pulling down on Tran's head to control his posture. Tran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tran won't allow Temrezov to get back to his feet. Temrezov keeping moving, preventing Tran from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tran distracts Temrezov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Tran wants to control from the top but Temrezov keeps moving. Tran will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Temrezov managing to control the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Temrezov is striking from the bottom but Tran uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Tran is nestled in close to Temrezov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tran throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Temrezov is trying to control but can't.

Tran wants to control but Temrezov is keeping him busy.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Temrezov scores with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kaplan Temrezov will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Tran fails in his attempt to clinch. Temrezov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Temrezov showed some decent athleticism there. Tran is trying to maintain the position but Temrezov is very close to passing his half guard. Tran has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Temrezov prevents Tran from improving his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Temrezov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tran's head. Tran wants to control but Temrezov is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Temrezov lands a nice short elbow. Temrezov scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Temrezov trying to control the pace. Temrezov is looking to pass Tran's guard but actually Tran recovers to full guard. Temrezov tries to free his leg and advance position but Tran is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Temrezov is still trying to improve position. Temrezov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Temrezov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Temrezov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tran swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Temrezov wants to stand and escape but instead Tran has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tran with a flurry of punches that miss. Temrezov wants to stand and escape but Tran is having none of it. Tran in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Tran postures up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Temrezov gets a double leg takedown into Tran's guard. Temrezov distracts Tran with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Temrezov wants to pass the guard but Tran is keeping the position. Temrezov wants to stand but Tran has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tran wants to sweep but no luck. Tran controls Temrezov momentarily but Temrezov frees himself. Tran can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Temrezov controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Temrezov moves in looking to clinch but Tran pushes him off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaplan Temrezov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Temrezov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tran was covering up waiting for the punch and Temrezov finishes the takedown easily into guard. Temrezov is stalling in the full guard. Temrezov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Temrezov's corner is telling him to maintain position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Temrezov wants to stand but Tran has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tran keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Temrezov shoots in but Tran avoids the takedown attempt easily. Temrezov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Tran scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Tran throws a series of punches but Temrezov avoids them all with ease. No luck with that takedown attempt from Temrezov. Tran tries to counter by clinching up but Temrezov breaks away and moves out of range. Forest Tran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaplan Temrezov. Temrezov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tran swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tran is looking to clinch but Temrezov is avoiding it.
Temrezov wants to counter the offense by Tran and move into the clinch position. Temrezov dives in and scores a takedown into Tran's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tran bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Temrezov's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Temrezov can do anything to dispel that myth. Tran working some strikes from top position. Tran scoring with some ground and pound. Tran lands a couple of elbows. Tran working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Temrezov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Temrezov is looking for a triangle but Tran pushes his legs off easily.

Tran is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Temrezov looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tran passes into half guard.
Forest Tran has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kaplan Temrezov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tran throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Forest Tran showed his dominance in that final round. I think Temrezov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
