Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karri Kemppainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paolo Tataglia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tataglia works Kemppainen's body with a nice hook. Tataglia is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tataglia drops Kemppainen with a big left hand and mounts him. Kemppainen is in big trouble!
It looks like Karri Kemppainen has been cut. Kemppainen is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tataglia is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kemppainen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kemppainen tries to lock up and control but Tataglia gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Tataglia thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Tataglia punching from mount but Kemppainen doing a good job of avoiding damage. Kemppainen throwing hammer fists to the chest of Tataglia. What's that going to do exactly? Kemppainen is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Kemppainen wants to hold on but Tataglia pushes him away. Kemppainen working to try and regain half guard.
Tataglia throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kemppainen defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Tataglia. Tataglia prevents Kemppainen from getting the reversal. Tataglia throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Kemppainen avoids a series of strikes thrown by Tataglia.
Kemppainen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Tataglia wants to stand but Kemppainen has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Kemppainen is staying active underneath Tataglia, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kemppainen wants to control but Tataglia is keeping busy.
Tataglia is tying to control. Kemppainen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kemppainen actively working from the bottom here. Kemppainen tries to get to full guard but Tataglia has control of the leg. Tataglia tries to stand and escape but Kemppainen is controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kemppainen moves into full guard.
Kemppainen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kemppainen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kemppainen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tataglia to the mat! Tataglia manages to get full guard. Kemppainen trying to control the position from guard on top but Tataglia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tataglia controlling Kemppainen's posture. Kemppainen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kemppainen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tataglia swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tataglia working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kemppainen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kemppainen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kemppainen gets to his feet - Tataglia follows without any prompting. Tataglia shoots and misses and Kemppainen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tataglia's guard. Kemppainen scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kemppainen wants to control from the top but Tataglia keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tataglia can do anything to dispel that myth. Kemppainen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tataglia's guard. Kemppainen slips a nice elbow through Tataglia's hands, connecting with Tataglia's forehead. Kemppainen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kemppainen drops an elbow to the side of Tataglia's head. Tataglia is trying to control but can't.
Kemppainen working Tataglia over with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paolo Tataglia dominated that round. The cut man is working on Karri Kemppainen's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kemppainen thuds his right hand into Tataglia's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. The fighters circling - Kemppainen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kemppainen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Tataglia misses with a takedown attempt and Kemppainen counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kemppainen is looking for a kimura here.
Tataglia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kemppainen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kemppainen controlling the action here. Tataglia on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Kemppainen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kemppainen not landing any meaningful shots this time. Tataglia is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kemppainen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kemppainen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kemppainen perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Kemppainen throwing shots but Tataglia is blocking nicely. Kemppainen trying to control from half guard but Tataglia is working away.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Tataglia closes the distance and clinches. Tataglia jumps guard but Kemppainen stands there with Tataglia around his waist. Tataglia gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Tataglia tries for a takedown but Kemppainen manages to get underhooks.
Karri Kemppainen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paolo Tataglia. Kemppainen goes for a takedown attempt but Tataglia pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kemppainen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kemppainen throws a looping overhand right but Tataglia ducks down to avoid it. Kemppainen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kemppainen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! A nice elbow there by Kemppainen. Kemppainen is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tataglia can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kemppainen looking to finish Tataglia with some ground and pound. This is bad for Tataglia! Kemppainen is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Tataglia is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Tataglia flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Kemppainen anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Tataglia and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Kemppainen slips an arm under Tataglia chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Kemppainen has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Kemppainen is squeezing on Tataglia like an anaconda would it's prey. Tataglia fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
