Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Kitaoka (ranked 6415 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Doyle (ranked 4206 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kazushi Kitaoka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Doyle! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kitaoka moves into the clinch. Doyle is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Doyle looking for a takedown. Kitaoka is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Doyle can't fight it off and eventually Kitaoka manages to take the fight to the floor. Doyle looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kitaoka knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Doyle on the ground. Kitaoka content to stall in guard here. Kitaoka has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Doyle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kitaoka is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kitaoka stops Doyle from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle being controlled here, momentarily. Kitaoka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doyle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kitaoka slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Doyle doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Doyle moves in looking to clinch but Kitaoka pushes him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kitaoka drives through with a takedown into Doyle's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Doyle wants to get back to his feet but Kitaoka passes into half guard.
Doyle is looking to escape. Doyle flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kitaoka is looking to advance position but Doyle won't allow it. Kitaoka perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kitaoka stops Doyle from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kitaoka is taking a breather. Doyle says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Doyle tries to roll over but Kitaoka keeps him under control. Doyle regains full guard. Nicely done. Doyle controls Kitaoka momentarily but Kitaoka frees himself. Kitaoka is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Doyle keeping full guard, as Kitaoka tries to pass.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Doyle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kitaoka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Doyle is looking to clinch. Kitaoka has Doyle up against the cage in a clinch.
Doyle is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kitaoka to keep the fight standing. Kitaoka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Doyle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kazushi Kitaoka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Doyle. Kitaoka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Doyle, pushing him back against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kitaoka lands a takedown into guard.

Doyle cracks Kitaoka with a right hand to the side of the head. Kitaoka gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kitaoka displaying some good clinch control by pressing Doyle up against the cage. Kitaoka gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doyle is trying to control the position but Kitaoka postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doyle throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Kitaoka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Doyle is keeping the position for now.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Doyle throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kitaoka uses it to pass to side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kitaoka remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Doyle tries to get back to half guard but can't. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Doyle can't do much from the bottom here.

Doyle is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kitaoka is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Doyle to the mat. Doyle regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Doyle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kitaoka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kitaoka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kitaoka wants to pass the guard but Doyle is keeping the position. Doyle looking for a sweep. Not yet Doyle, not yet. Doyle has his foot on Kitaoka's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kitaoka works his way back into a safe position though. Kitaoka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doyle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kitaoka content to stall in guard here.

Doyle throws a sloppy head kick and Kitaoka moves out of range easily. Doyle shoots in looking for a takedown. Kitaoka tries to sprawl out of it but Doyle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kitaoka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kitaoka rushes Doyle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kitaoka dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Kitaoka's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Kitaoka slowing the pace effectively. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Kitaoka for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Kitaoka stalling.

Doyle is fighting the takedown attempt but Kitaoka gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Kitaoka is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kitaoka tries to free his leg and advance position but Doyle is retaining full guard. Kazushi Kitaoka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kitaoka gets a clinch. Kitaoka lands a takedown into guard.

Kitaoka content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Doyle looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kitaoka takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kitaoka seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Doyle for as long as he can get away with. Doyle looking for subs from the bottom but Kitaoka mounts him! Kitaoka controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kitaoka is trying to take his opponent's back.

And that's the end of the fight! Kazushi Kitaoka showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kitaoka has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Kazushi Kitaoka! A very excited looking Kazushi Kitaoka rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
