Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raycon Figg (ranked 6198 p4p, 191 weight class) and Takesi Hanada (ranked 25395 p4p, 258 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Raycon Figg has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Raycon Figg seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takesi Hanada!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanada closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hanada lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Figg throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Hanada wants to stand and escape but instead Figg has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Figg lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Figg is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Figg passes Hanada's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Figg takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Figg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hanada is refusing to be controlled, as Figg sits in half guard.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hanada has eaten all the pies!
Figg takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Figg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Figg is nestled in close to Hanada, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hanada is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Figg scores with a couple of nice shots.

Hanada wants to stand back up but Figg manages to pass into side control.
Hanada is not content to let Figg control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Figg lands an elbow.

Hanada bucks Figg off and manages to get back to his feet!
Figg throws a jab when Hanada was well out of range.
Hanada shoots in and drives through. Figg sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Figg drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Hanada's head, knocking him out cold! Figg is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Raycon Figg!
Raycon Figg got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
