Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dre Battle (ranked 1485 p4p, 195 weight class) and Terry Crew (ranked 1181 p4p, 157 weight class). Battle's entrance music is Knockout - Yung Gravy. A fine choice. Dre Battle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Terry Crew's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dre Battle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terry Crew! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Battle stuffs the takedown attempt from Crew. Crew gets slowly back to his feet. Crew fails with the takedown and Battle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A lazy left from Battle finds it's target. Crew shoots in and drives through. Battle sprawls well. Dre Battle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terry Crew. Crew shoots in and gets a takedown into Battle's guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Crew working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Battle is looking to stand up but Crew isn't so interested in that idea. Crew trying to control the position from guard on top but Battle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Battle is looking to stand up but Crew isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crew looking to pass the guard. Crew wants to control from the top but Battle keeps moving. Crew drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crew jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Battle seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Crew trying to control but Battle is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Crew with a poor takedown enabling Battle to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Terry Crew has been cut. A momentary lapse in concentration from Battle enables Crew to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Battle manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crew pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Battle is keeping the position for now. Crew trying to control but Battle is working from the bottom. Battle wants to stand up but Crew is controlling him. Battle keeping moving, preventing Crew from controlling successfully. Crew has gone for a leg lock! Battle slips out almost immediately though and dives into Crew's guard. Battle wants to stand but Crew has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Battle stopping the sweep attempt from Crew. Battle wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Crew's closed guard. He's half up but Crew has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Crew pivots and extends the arm, Battle falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Crew! Well done that man!
