The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avent is looking to slow Castle down with leg kicks.
Avent drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Castle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Avent can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Castle is trying to control the position but Avent postures up.
Castle trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Castle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Avent manages to get himself to full guard.
Castle postures up in Avent's guard and throws a big left but Avent blocks it.
Avent is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Avent is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Avent tries to stand and escape but Castle is controlling the position.
Castle is looking for a sweep. Avent is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Castle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Castle.
Castle throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Castle wants to sweep here but Avent controlling him for the moment.
Avent passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Castle can't do much from the bottom here.
Castle tries to buck Avent off but Avent is having none of it.
Castle trying to control but Avent flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Avent has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Castle! Can he survive? No! He's out! Avent gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
