Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Stevenson (ranked 25852 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremiah Woodley Jr (ranked 7764 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Stevenson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Stevenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremiah Woodley Jr! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodley Jr gets a double leg takedown into Stevenson's guard. Woodley Jr throws a big right hand that misses. Stevenson is trying to control the position but Woodley Jr postures up. Woodley Jr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Woodley Jr throws a strike but Stevenson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Woodley Jr keeping moving, preventing Stevenson from controlling successfully. Stevenson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Woodley Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stevenson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stevenson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stevenson trying to control the position from guard on top but Woodley Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Woodley Jr looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stevenson is one step ahead there.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Woodley Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stevenson to the mat! Stevenson manages to get full guard. Stevenson keeping moving, preventing Woodley Jr from controlling successfully. Stevenson trying to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevenson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Woodley Jr defends it easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woodley Jr trying to move into half guard but instead Stevenson has managed to sweep!

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stevenson works his way back into a safe position though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Woodley Jr can do anything to dispel that myth. That was a close round but I would say that Jack Stevenson will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Woodley Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Woodley Jr connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Woodley Jr tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stevenson defends well and Woodley Jr ends up having to push Stevenson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. It looked like Stevenson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Stevenson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woodley Jr.

Woodley Jr shoots in for a takedown but Stevenson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Woodley Jr is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stevenson's half guard. Stevenson trying to hold on to Woodley Jr's head to control him but Woodley Jr postures up.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Woodley Jr pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Woodley Jr goes for a double leg but Stevenson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stevenson continues to drive forward. Woodley Jr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stevenson on his heels. He'll look to pass Stevenson's guard now, I'm sure. Woodley Jr is breathing heavily. Stevenson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Woodley Jr's guard. Woodley Jr wants to improve his position but instead Stevenson has moved into half guard.

Jeremiah Woodley Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stevenson's guard. Woodley Jr is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Woodley Jr lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Stevenson trying to hold on to Woodley Jr's head to control him but Woodley Jr postures up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Woodley Jr tries to stand and escape but Stevenson is controlling the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woodley Jr closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Woodley Jr lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Stevenson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Woodley Jr is working for takedown but Stevenson is calmly controlling the position for now. Stevenson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Woodley Jr pulls him back up using the underhooks. Woodley Jr is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stevenson can't fight it off and eventually Woodley Jr manages to take the fight to the floor. Stevenson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Woodley Jr is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Stevenson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Woodley Jr is looking to defend but Stevenson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Woodley Jr! Stevenson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Woodley Jr taps out and this one is all over!
