Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nazim Bardakci (ranked 3066 p4p, 345 weight class) and Derek Johnson (ranked 4553 p4p, 456 weight class). Bardakci comes to the cage accompanied by Edis - Çok Çok. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nazim Bardakci! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Derek Johnson! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bardakci shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Johnson tries to bum rush Bardakci with a series of wild strikes but Bardakci uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bardakci shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A left and a right from Johnson both land. Nice combination. Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing. Bardakci throws a body shot but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson leaves Bardakci with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nazim Bardakci. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bardakci takes a shot right to the bread basket. Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Bardakci, before circling back to the center of the mat. Johnson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Derek Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Bardakci counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bardakci. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bardakci thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bardakci tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard. Bardakci wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Bardakci slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bardakci drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Bardakci off! Bardakci jumps back into Johnson's guard. Bardakci forces his way into half guard.
