The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Epstien swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. Epstien has managed to clinch.

Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Epstien is retaining full guard. Epstien had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily. Score +2 for reaching mount: Jones (7) vs (4) Epstien Jones trying to control but Epstien is having none of it. Jones has hold of Epstien's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Epstien manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Score +3 for taking back: Jones (10) vs (4) Epstien Jones has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Epstien looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Jones has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Epstien has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Jones is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Epstien has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Jones is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Epstien with him. Epstien is trying to defend but Jones has an arm under the chin now! Epstien grimaces and is forced to tap out!
