The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whittaker misses with a two punch combination.
Whittaker moves out of range as Benning strikes.
Benning scores with a body shot.
Benning swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Benning misses with a hook.
Whittaker throws a right and a left that Benning avoids nicely.
Benning jabs Whittaker right on the nose. Whittaker blinks but takes it well.
Whittaker looks to land a combination but Benning avoids it well.
Benning tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Whittaker was well out of range. Poor timing from Benning.
Whittaker throws a body punch but Benning moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whittaker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Benning creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Whittaker is rocked!
Benning lands a left hand that snaps the head of Whittaker backwards.
Whittaker is still on wobbly legs! Can Benning finish him?

Benning throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Whittakers head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Benning lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Whittaker to his knees! Benning keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
