Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Carvallo (ranked 2691 p4p, 306 weight class) and Chiharu Shiba (ranked 3103 p4p, 353 weight class). Shiba has chosen Godsmack - Immune & Sick Puppies - Survive as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ernesto Carvallo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chiharu Shiba! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shiba misses with a combination
and Carvallo makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Shiba really felt that one! Shiba throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Carvallo counters with a nice leg kick. Decent striking displayed by Shiba there. Shiba fails to land with a series of punches.
Shiba throws a right hand that misses
and Carvallo finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Shiba throws a one two combo.
Carvallo explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Shiba wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shiba looks to score with a jab to the body but Carvallo is just out of range. Shiba on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Carvallo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Carvallo counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvallo fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Shiba throws a combination that misses and Carvallo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Carvallo. That's going to slow Shiba down. Shiba throws a looping overhand right but Carvallo ducks down to avoid it. A swing and a miss from Shiba. Carvallo swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Shiba misses with a left hand and Carvallo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Shiba tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Carvallo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shiba moves into range and clinches up with Carvallo. A right handed body shot lands from Shiba.

Carvallo is struggling to control the position. Shiba working some nice short punches in the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carvallo is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Shiba letting Carvallo take a breather here. Shiba tries to work over Carvallo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A nice right hand lands inside from Carvallo. Carvallo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shiba falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carvallo counters with a nice body kick.
Shiba swings and misses with a shot to the body and Carvallo counters with a good low kick that Shiba was not able to check.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shiba throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carvallo. Shiba sizes up Carvallo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Ernesto Carvallo has been cut. Shiba throws a series of punches but Carvallo moves out of range. Shiba swings widly with a right hand
and Carvallo counters with a big head kick but Shiba shrugs it off. Shiba throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Carvallo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Shiba wants to clinch. Carvallo thinks about countering with a body kick. Shiba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carvallo.

and Carvallo counters with a low kick, right behind Shiba 's knee. We've been informed that Shiba has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. A shot to the body from Shiba misses and Carvallo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Shiba thinking. Carvallo moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Shiba's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Carvallo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Shiba throws a right hand that Carvallo ducks under and follows up with a left that Carvallo also avoids with ease. Shiba throws a body shot but no joy. Carvallo lands with a thumping leg kick.

and Carvallo counters with a body kick. Shiba tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Carvallo thows a left - swing and a miss! Carvallo is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Shiba tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Carvallo counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shiba crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Carvallo - the referee stops the clock and Shiba gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Carvallo. Shiba manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ernesto Carvallo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ernesto Carvallo's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

It looks like Chiharu Shiba has been cut. Chiharu Shiba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carvallo connects with a solid leg kick. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Shiba, as that shot connected.

and Carvallo counters with a good low kick that Shiba was not able to check. Shiba throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Carvallo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Shiba forces Carvallo back against the cage and clinches. Shiba letting Carvallo take a breather here. Shiba works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A short uppercut from Carvallo. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shiba misses with a punch to the body.

That'll leave a bruise. Shiba misses with a right hand and Carvallo counters with an inside leg kick. Carvallo pushes Shiba away with a front kick. Shiba tries to clinch up. It looked like Carvallo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Carvallo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shiba's sensitive parts. Nice cross by Shiba. Shiba misses with a lunging right hand
and Carvallo counters with an outside leg kick.

and Carvallo counters with a good low kick that Shiba was not able to check.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carvallo cracks the inside of Shiba's front leg. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carvallo fakes the leg kick and cracks Shiba in the body. Carvallo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shiba was well out of range. Poor timing from Carvallo. Carvallo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Carvallo quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Ernesto Carvallo is winning the standup battle so far. Carvallo throws a quick inside leg kick. Shiba misses with a left hand and Carvallo counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Carvallo looks to score with a jab to the body but Shiba is just out of range. Carvallo throws a nice outside leg kick. Shiba wants to clinch. Shiba tries to clinch but Carvallo moves away and Carvallo counters with an outside leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carvallo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Shiba closes the distance but Carvallo moves to the side and Carvallo counters with a low kick, right behind Shiba 's knee. Shiba misses with a jab to the body
and Carvallo counters with a body kick that stops Shiba in his tracks momentarily. Shiba misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Carvallo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Shiba swings widly with a right hand
and Carvallo counters with a low kick, right behind Shiba 's knee. Shiba is breathing heavily. Shiba is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carvallo. A quick step to the side and Carvallo tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. A jab from Shiba misses. Shiba throws a lazy uppercut
and Carvallo counters with a right hand to the body. Shiba misses with a hook
and Carvallo counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A decent looking body kick lands there for Carvallo. Shiba throws a lazy uppercut
and Carvallo counters with a thumping low kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Carvallo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carvallo punishes Shiba's body with a nice straight punch. Carvallo missing with a left hand there. Shiba was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Carvallo misses the shot to the body. Carvallo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Shiba darts in trying to clinch and Carvallo counters with a right hand to the body. Carvallo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ernesto Carvallo dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Shiba misses with a right hand and Carvallo counters with a nice kick to the body. Crunch! Carvallo slams his shin into Shiba's torso. Shiba has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Carvallo. An inside leg kick lands from Carvallo. Shiba throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Shiba swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Carvallo counters with a left to the body. Shiba tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Shiba misses with a double jab
and Carvallo counters with a body kick that stops Shiba in his tracks momentarily. Shiba takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carvallo scores with a spinning back kick!
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvallo lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shiba takes a step back to recover. Shiba takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Shiba missing with a left hand there. Carvallo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Shiba falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carvallo counters with a flying knee. Nice. Carvallo throws a body shot but no joy. As Carvallo backs off Shiba throws a huge counter combo but Carvallo manages to avoid it all. Shiba throws an off balance right hand
and Carvallo counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Carvallo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Shiba is still on wobbly legs! Can Carvallo finish him? Carvallo lands with a nice body kick. Carvallo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Carvallo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shiba doesn't seem bothered though. Whack! Carvallo lands a heavy head kick that drops Shiba. The ref tackles Carvallo to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Shiba was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Ernesto Carvallo! After winning the bout, Ernesto Carvallo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
