Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Wildhauser (ranked 4521 p4p, 456 weight class) and Wanderlei Filho (ranked 8939 p4p, 633 weight class). Filho has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Wanderlei Filho enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Wildhauser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wanderlei Filho!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wildhauser uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Filho.
Filho digs a good hook to Wildhauser's body.
Filho's corner calls for a 1-2. Filho obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Filho cracks Wildhauser with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Filho sends Wildhauser crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Filho is motioning to the referee to let Wildhauser up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Wildhauser is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wildhauser drives through with a takedown into Filho's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Oh Wildhauser is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wildhauser is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Filho wants to stand up but Wildhauser is controlling him.

Filho is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Wildhauser presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Wildhauser seems to have got his legs back now.

Wildhauser gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Filho regains guard.

Filho wants to stand up but Wildhauser is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Filho is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Wildhauser presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Wildhauser manages to pull guard.
Wildhauser wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Wildhauser definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wildhauser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Filho's guard.

Wildhauser throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Filho works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Wildhauser working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Wildhauser stays in close to Filho's body and controls the position.
Wildhauser forces his way into half guard.

Wildhauser seems to be working for a kimura but Filho defends the submission attempt.
Wildhauser stops Filho from getting back to his feet.
Wildhauser with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Filho is trying to stand.
Wildhauser performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Filho is not content to let Wildhauser control the position.
Filho pushes Wildhauser off looking to stand but Wildhauser dives back in and keeps control.

Wildhauser looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Filho is in trouble now - Wildhauser has advanced to mount!

Wildhauser with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Wildhauser sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Wildhauser has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Filho looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Wildhauser can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Filho is looking to escape.
Filho is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Wildhauser working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Filho looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Wildhauser! Submission of the night perhaps?
