Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Gee!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rafael Galvao!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Galvao. Gee does a little dance to reset his feet.

Gee moves into range and clinches up with Galvao.
Gee lands with a left to the head.
Gee swings wildly with an uppercut but Galvao uses good head movement to avoid it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gee.
A right hook to the body lands for Gee.
Gee working some nice short punches in the clinch.
A short left from Gee.
Galvao drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Galvao tries to pull guard but Gee holds him up against the ropes and eventually Galvao drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gee lands a body punch in the clinch.
We've been informed that Galvao has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Galvao is working for takedown but Gee is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dan Gee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Galvao.
Galvao has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A nice right hand lands inside from Gee.
Gee lands with a right to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gee lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Gee lands with a light punch inside.
Gee lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Gee softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
A nice right hand lands inside from Gee.


Galvao is rocked!
Galvao takes a shot to the head.
Galvao is still on wobbly legs! Can Gee finish him?
Gee is leaning against Galvao and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Galvao looks winded!
Gee lands an uppercut.
Gee lands a hook to the side of the head.
Gee creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Galvao with a big uppercut! Galvao tries to clinch up but Gee pushes him back against the ropes and lands another monster strike that crumples Galvao to the mat! Galvao covers up and Gee unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dan Gee!
