PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ibragim Magomedov (ranked 25659 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Showtime (ranked 3617 p4p, 0 weight class). Showtime has chosen Old Toms Hut as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showtime fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Magomedov on the side of the head.

It looks like Ibragim Magomedov has been cut.

Magomedov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Showtime controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Showtime stands up and waves to Magomedov to follow him.
Magomedov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Showtime goes for a small jab and connects. Now Showtime goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Magomedov stumbles back but Showtime runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Magomedov to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Magomedov will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
