Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Moore (ranked 3965 p4p, 399 weight class) and Mark Cruz (ranked 23492 p4p, 678 weight class). Moore comes to the cage accompanied by The SHOW Must Go On. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Cruz! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore fails with the takedown. Moore looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Moore fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Joshua Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moore swats him away and circles back towards the center. Moore doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cruz moves into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshua Moore. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cruz keeps control of Moore as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Cruz tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Cruz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Moore pushes a forearm under Cruz's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Cruz is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
